Laboratories
The college has more than 600 computers, hundred laser prtinters, 50 photo copiers,50 fax machines, a good cyber centre, “MINCHU” and the State-of-the-Art laboratories in all the departments.

Library
UVCE library has a impressive collection of over 2 lakhs books covering various branches of Mathematics, Science and Engineering. Besides, the library has volumes of technical journals/periodicals in different areas of Engineering. Along with the main library, each department has its own library catering to the needs of the staff members and students.

RESEARCH & TRAINING CENTRE

The centre caters the need of Post Graduate students, Doctoral students and teachers of UVCE and is well equipped along with a conference room.

SCANNING ELECTRON MICROSCOPE(SEM)
UVCE is the only engineering college in Karnatka having Scanning Electron Microscope worth Rs.1 crore. It is serving the needs of the research scholars of all the educational institutions and industries in and around Bangalore.

UVCE Co-Operative Society
The UVCE Co-Operative Society meets the needs of the students and staff of the college in respect of stationary and text books. All the students admitted to the college are share holders of the society.

HOSTEL FACILITIES
The college provides hostel facilities for boys and girls separately both in the Jnana Bharathi and city campus.

EXTRCURRCULAR ACTIVITIES

IEEE UVCE Student chapter
The IEEE Student chapter is one of the best in the state. It organizes atleast one technical activity in a week. It has won the best student chapter award 2007, best website award (2006), best student paper awards (2007), Best Volunteer award(2006), and Best Branch Counselor for Asia (2005).

SPORTS & GAMES
The college has the distinction of producing athletes and sportsmen and women for the country. The following students have won laurels for the college. Lakshmi N ( World Women fencing Champioship), Tejasvini V ( Inter University Swimming champion) Supriya (Volley ball), Uma B ( Throw ball), Sridhar ( Table Tennis), UDay Kumar J ( Volleyball), Varun Tennis( Lawn Tennis ), Ranjitha V ( Table Tennis), Kavi Kumar( Kho-Kho), Kulkarni Vinayaka ( Chess), C R RaviKiran ( Baseball, Soft ball)

The college organizes annually MILAGRO, TATTVA, culutal programmes, IMPETUS, technical programme KAGADA, National student paper competition and INSPIRON, an entrepreneurship programme. Large number of students participate in debate, essay writing and cultural progammes every year conducted at both state and national level.
